About Us

The Boot Scooters dance team was formed during the summer of 1995 by Bobby Phipps.

We are a group of energetic friends that love to dance. We perform at most of the local county fairs, car shows and charity events. We performed on TNN's Club Dance several times.

We practice every Wednesday evening from 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM at the Hotel Charles in Hughesville. We give free beginner's line dance lessons from 7:00 PM - 7:30 PM every Wednesday to anyone who is interested.

If your interested in joining our team, please contact us. There is no charge to be a member of this group except for the price of your dance shirts (approximately $15 each).
If you can count to 8 ... you can learn to line dance!!

Line Dancing Workshops

Come join us at one of our free line dancing workshops.  Intermediate/advanced dances will be taught.  Listed below are the dates for our upcoming line dancing workshops.  They will be held at the John Hanson Middle School - 12350 Vivian Adams Drive, Waldorf, MD.  The time for each workshop will be 10:30 - 1:30 PM.

In Memory of Bob Phipps...
Bob Phipps created the Boot Scooters dance team in the summer of 1995. He led this dance team for 11 years before losing his life tragically in June, 2006. The dance team will continue to perform in his memory with his name imprinted on our shirts.
